Energy Undersecretary Luis Felipe Ramos visits our CSP plant Cerro Dominador

During this week we were visited by the Undersecretary of Energy, Luis Felipe Ramos, who in the company of the Energy Regional Secretary from Antofagasta, Dafne Pino, toured the solar field to see the project in situ and what has been its contribution these years to Chile’s energy transition. His visit to the Antofagasta region was part of learning about what kind of progress has been made in the fields of renewable energy, electromobility, decarbonization, human capital and the integration of women in the industry.

During the visit to our plant, the undersecretary stated: “Initiatives such as Cerro Dominador are remarkable because to a large extent they allow us to show where we want to aim in the development of our energy matrix. In the first place, because it is a world-leading, innovative concentrating solar power project, but also because it allows us to inject non-conventional renewable energy precisely at night when it is not normally available. All these elements allow us to corroborate that Projects like these allow us to advance in the goals that we are pursuing as a Ministry and as a country”.
